BRANDON HANSEN

RESIDENT EXPERT

Brandon Hansen is a second-generation painter, following in the footsteps of his father Conrad of Conrad Hansen Painting & Decorating based in the Minneapolis / St, Paul area. As most northern painters are technically trained in the classroom and the field, Brandon was taught to approach work with a solid game plan, work with a steady hand and judge quality with a meticulous eye. Brandon loves to work with his team in planning the next big project or sharing the excitement with a homeowner preparing for a dramatic transformation in their home.

Brandon is part of a rich background of military service members, including his stepfather US Army Col. Michael David Kershaw and mother, US Army SSGT Jennifer Kershaw, who was born in Abilene to US Air Force Col. Earl Connors and US Air Force Lt. Ann Connors while serving at Dyess Air Force Base.

Brandon grew up in San Antonio wholeheartedly immersed in a rich culture with vibrant colors, robust Mexican food, and true southern Texan music. Studying at the University of Texas at San Antonio while spending summers painting in Minnesota, he was recruited to join the Sherwin-Williams Paint Stores as a manager in training. Quickly promoted to managing larger stores the company relocated him to Waco and finally to Abilene where he has called home since 2014. Departing the retail world, Brandon went on to help start other local painting businesses before starting Hawk Painting in 2020 where the company mantra is “have fun & do cool stuff”!

Blessed with his wife of 13 years, Katie, and their four rambunctious kiddos Cash, Kenzie, Henry and Maizie where Legos, Church, Taekwondo and Ballet are pretty much life for the Hansens.

FUN FACT:

Brandon was the first painter to work at Magnolia Farms in downtown Waco as he field tested a variety of coatings for the silos and metal roofs.
